Hello, My family is Cree. My mother remembers as a child whistling at the northern lights and they danced and came down lower. I mentioned this in school when I was a kid and I was laughed at, but I believe that it did happen. I don't know anything about the other things you saw. There is an Inuit legend that the nortern lights are the ancestors playing soccer with a buffalo head. Pat Capot Beaver First Nation
